A 1950s bowling alley shipped from Texas into the basement of Firmdale's Ham Yard Hotel: four maple lanes, vintage ball returns, Howard Hodgkin on the walls.

Mostly large private hire, but individual lanes can be booked about a week ahead. Worth the call.
