Run clubs and ways to move in London

42 run clubs and movement groups in London, each one on the Guide on merit.

  1. Asian Girls Run

Running in New Malden + East London

Sited next to dense Asian communities on purpose, so it reaches women who'd never set foot in a mainstream run club.

  2. ASRA Running Club

    Running in London

A running and wellness community centring Muslim women and women of colour, open beyond, with weekly runs and yoga across London.

  3. Bermondsey Street Runners

    Running in Bermondsey, South-East London

The smaller, newer Bermondsey option, heavier on neighbourhood feel. Several runs a week and socials that go past a token pint.

  4. Black Cyclists Network

Fitness & outdoors in Regent's Park

The biggest cycling community for cyclists of colour in Europe, open to all, with weekly Saturday rides from Regent's Park. Beginner-friendly.

  5. Black Girls Do Run UK

    Running in London + online

Built so a Black woman who's never run isn't the only one in the group, which is the whole point.

  6. Black Girls Hike UK

Fitness & outdoors in UK-wide, London walks

The real version of the hiking group you were thinking of. Black women in the outdoors, no experience needed.

  7. Black Women on Wheels

Fortnightly social bike rides for Black and Mixed-race women, with dinners and an annual weekend away. A tight, joyful community.

  8. Brixton Run Club

    Running in Brixton

Five kilometres from Stockwell Skatepark on Tuesday evenings at a conversational six minutes a kilometre, finishing at the pub. Friday is track at Tooting, Sunday is ten kilometres. James Battershill and Benji Miller started it in 2025 and it supports Building Young Brixton.

  9. ClimbMuz

Fitness & outdoors in Stoke Newington + Bethnal Green

A safe-space climbing club for Muslim women and women of colour, twice a month at Castle and BethWall. No judgement, no experience needed, kit and coaching sorted.

  10. Croissant Run Club

    Running in Roving

A charming, low-ego Saturday run of four to five kilometres finishing at a different bakery each week. The pastry-reward antidote to hardcore run crews.

  11. Easy Saturday Skate

Fitness & outdoors in Battersea Park, South London

A weekly beginner-friendly inline skate session at Battersea Park that feeds into a much larger social skate community. Start here; the Street Skates network has hundreds of people and weekend trips.

  12. ESEA Outdoors UK

    Fitness & outdoors in City-wide + UK

Built for East and Southeast Asian people who've felt like the only Asian face on a trail.

  13. Fly Girl Collective

    Running in London

One of London's first run clubs for Black women and women of colour. Come for the free run club; the coaching packages are a separate thing.

  14. Grove Lane

    Running in South East London

Five runs a week around Camberwell, started in 2022 by Harry Swinhoe with five people in the rain. Trackside is the coached session, £5 to drop in, with a gel included. The Sunday run finishes at a deli. The join page carries a zero tolerance line on behaviour that makes members uncomfortable.

  15. Hot Boys

    Running in East London

A women's training group rather than a social run, twice a week on the track around Victoria Park. Sessions run on effort, so you are told to go hard or at eighty per cent and not given your splits. Kimiko Ninomiya founded it after co-founding Black Roses in New York, and keeps it to about thirty people.

  16. Les Running Club

    Running in London-wide

A queer women, trans and non-binary run club that programmes track, strength, yoga and physio as well as running, at your easy pace. Track nights start at Finsbury Park at 7.40 and everyone is on the sidelines with a drink by half past eight. Beginners building to a first 5k are the stated audience.

  17. Lido swimming (Serpentine SC / Parliament Hill)

Fitness & outdoors in Hyde Park / Hampstead

The cold-water crowd at the Serpentine and Parliament Hill, famously tight. A dawn swim and a habit you will defend.

  18. London City Runners

    Running in Bermondsey (SE)

One of London's biggest free run clubs, and still one of the least cliquey. A proper clubhouse, substance over scene, and enough pace groups that nobody gets dropped.

  19. London Climbing Meetup

Fitness & outdoors in Stratford / White City

Bouldering as a social sport: you spot each other and cheer the hard sends.

  20. Melanin Skate Gals & Pals

Fitness & outdoors in Finsbury Park

A skate community for marginalised genders and people of colour, with coached and open sessions. Cool, current and very welcoming.

  21. Midnight Runners

    Running in Central (Tower Bridge)

A night out with a 10k attached. Burpees instead of pre-drinks.

  22. Ozo Run Club

Running in Hyde Park (Speakers' Corner)

A run club that's really a culture-and-belonging project with a 5k attached, and people stick around because of it.

  23. Pana Run Club

    Running in London

A Pan-African-rooted social run club, open to all, with Thursday social runs and Sunday long runs. Genuinely warm and very active.

  24. Peckham Pacers

    Running in Peckham

Seven kilometres at seven on Wednesdays from Eko Brewery in Copeland Park, with at least three pace groups and a leader at the front and back of each. Ten at ten on Saturdays. The motto is pizza, pints and PBs, and there is a free beer at the end of the Wednesday route.

  25. POVSRUN

    Running in Hackney

A young, content-native East London run club built on a relaxed 5k, music and good company.

  26. Queer Running Club

    Running in Hackney Downs

One of the warmest ways into queer London: a coached social run, then the pub.

  27. Run Dem Crew

    Running in East London

The cultural godfather of the scene. Community first, pace a distant second.

  28. Run Dusty

    Running in East London

A relaxed five to eight kilometre Thursday run meeting at a different independent brewery each month and finishing with a pint. Distinctive and pleasingly in-the-know.

  29. Run Talk Run

    Running in ~14 London groups

The gentlest, most honest one. You talk while you do a 5k.

  30. Saath Run Club

    Running in East-leaning, city-wide

The one for the South Asian music-and-arts crowd. More about who you meet at the end than the splits.

  31. Safari Kickboxing

Fitness & outdoors in Fulham, Queen's Park, Finsbury Park, Acton

A martial-arts school with a big women-only Muay Thai and kickboxing programme across London. Beginner-friendly, with a free trial.

  35. South Asian Run Club London

Running in London, meet points vary

Show up and run with people who get it. No founder-personality gloss.

  36. Swim Dem Crew

Fitness & outdoors in Inner London

An inner-city swim club built on community, bringing city dwellers together through the water with lessons and social swims.

  37. The Say Yes Club

    Running in Hackney

A Hackney running club founded by Esmée Gummer after a back injury left her relearning to walk. The crew meets every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at London Fields for a 5k Pub Club run with pace groups for all abilities. The ethos is encouragement and saying yes to movement, with weekly runs, team races and trips abroad.

  38. These Girls Run

Running in Multiple London meets (e.g. Battersea)

Bigger than under-the-radar now, but the local meets stay small enough to make friends.

  39. Track Mafia

    Running in Paddington (Paddington Rec)

The cool kids who can run, fast.

  40. Vegan Runners UK (London)

    Running in Greater London

The established, slightly older-skewing option. More affiliated club than cute new social, but unambiguously vegan.

  41. Wanderers of Colour

    Fitness & outdoors in London

A people-of-colour adventure collective built around climbing, with hikes, water sports and socials on top. Free to join, London-anchored and welcoming to first-timers.
