    Five kilometres from Stockwell Skatepark on Tuesday evenings at a conversational six minutes a kilometre, finishing at the pub. Friday is track at Tooting, Sunday is ten kilometres. James Battershill and Benji Miller started it in 2025 and it supports Building Young Brixton.

    London's main improv school, with beginners' courses year-round. Eight weeks with the same group, and you leave funnier and braver.

  43. Horse Meat Disco

    Nightlife & dance in Vauxhall

    A weekly Sunday night queer party at the Eagle in Vauxhall, running since 2004 and hosted by a collective of four DJs. The crowd is all-inclusive, drawing homos, heteros, bears, fashionistas and drag queens to dance to Italo disco, punk-funk and disco. Entry is around £6 to £8 and things get going around 11pm.

  44. Hot Boys

    Running in East London

    A women's training group rather than a social run, twice a week on the track around Victoria Park. Sessions run on effort, so you are told to go hard or at eighty per cent and not given your splits. Kimiko Ninomiya founded it after co-founding Black Roses in New York, and keeps it to about thirty people.

    Running out of the Rose & Crown on Church Street since 2007, one Thursday a month, sessions numbered rather than dated. Number 185 was Octavia Butler. The group picks the book by vote and the range runs from classics to graphic novels.

    Seven kilometres at seven on Wednesdays from Eko Brewery in Copeland Park, with at least three pace groups and a leader at the front and back of each. Ten at ten on Saturdays. The motto is pizza, pints and PBs, and there is a free beer at the end of the Wednesday route.

It has built a loyal following and a reputation as the place to experience the raucous edge of London's new jazz scene.

    Suppers by is a seasonal supper club run by Rosie Kellett and Virginia Malavasi in East London. They host four times a year, welcoming 32 guests over two consecutive nights with menus that combine British seasonal produce with Italian cooking. Each supper features a collaborating artist who reflects the concept behind the menu.

    A Hackney running club founded by Esmée Gummer after a back injury left her relearning to walk. The crew meets every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at London Fields for a 5k Pub Club run with pace groups for all abilities. The ethos is encouragement and saying yes to movement, with weekly runs, team races and trips abroad.

    Last Monday of the month at a Tooting High Street pub, six until eight, over pizza. It started in July 2026 with Yellowface, so the back catalogue is short and nobody is behind. Free, but ticketed, and over 18s.
