Koestler Arts: Rock, Paper, Scissors

Exhibition in Southbank

Around 200 artworks made by people in prisons, secure hospitals and young offender institutions, selected from over 7,500 entries to the 2026 Koestler Awards. Five members of the Parental Imprisonment Collective curated the show, drawing on their own experiences of parental imprisonment to explore themes including childhood, family, home, confinement, imagination and landscape. Works span painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, music, writing, craft and design. Some pieces are available to buy, with donations going to Victim Support.
