Angel's Bone, English National Opera

Opera in Covent Garden

Du Yun's Angel's Bone, which won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Music, gets its UK premiere in an 80-minute production directed by Kip Williams. The score mixes contemporary classical with electronica, performed by a 10-piece ensemble with tuba and lute, and features five main roles including Matthew McKinney and Miriam Wallentin as the angels. This is for opera audiences drawn to genre-bending work and bold staging.
