Where to drink in Notting Hill

6 places to drink in Notting Hill, each one on the Guide on merit.

  1. Caia

    Caia

    Wine bar / records

Food, wine and vinyl from Notting Hill locals, open till 1am at weekends.

Sit downstairs near the turntables; the vinyl is the whole mood.

  2. Naked & Famous

    Naked & Famous

    Agave cocktail bar

A small agave bar under Zēphyr on Portobello Road, open late.

It holds thirty-five at most and promises nothing at the door, so come midweek. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm.

  3. Sova

    Sova

    Vinyl wine bar

A wine and vinyl bar off Portobello: low-intervention bottles from Eastern Europe, Rough Trade records and clay-toned calm. Sit at the counter.

Sit at the counter and ask them to pour you something Georgian.

  4. The Latimer

    The Latimer

    Gastropub

A gastropub from the Spiteri family, with Jon Spiteri (St John, Sessions Arts Club) and Melanie Arnold (Rochelle Canteen) joining forces with their children Fin, Lorcan and Molly. The pub-first space has stools and steel-topped tables up front, white tablecloths further back, and big windows that flood the high-ceilinged room with light. Masala monkfish with tartare sauce features on the bar menu.

  5. Trogolo

    Trogolo

    Tuscan wine bar · European

Serious Tuscan wine pedigree and a courtyard, even if early reviews were split.

Head downstairs for crostini and a cocktail before the table upstairs.

  6. Viajante87

    Viajante87

    Subterranean agave bar

A love letter to agave hidden under a cinema, serious about the bottle and ambitious with the glass.

Open till 2am Friday and Saturday; ask the team to steer you through the mezcals rather than ordering off the list.
