Tarek Atoui transforms the Turbine Hall into a sonic landscape where wind plays suspended bamboo pipes and shengs in chorus, mechanised mallets strike Korean drums, and textiles up to 30 metres long oscillate in response to air currents. Microphones sample the sounds of the instruments and the hall itself, feeding custom software that reworks and plays them back so the soundscape is always changing. For anyone who wants to experience sound through their whole body, not just their ears.
